I would rate my wellness as follows
A.
Physical- 7-8, As a soldier we maintain a
healthy life style for the most part but in some aspects it take a toll on your
body
B.
Spiritual- 9, I am a religious person and have a
clear understanding of my faith and what my “goal” is in life for myself and
others
C.
Psychological- 5, I really haven’t looked at
this aspect but I know from my life in the military I have developed so uncomfortable
habits of coping with concerns.
The primary goal I have is better integration of my
different life style and beliefs. Figuring out the best way to integrate the
Soldier, Father, Husband, and family member has always been a challenge for me.
Meditation, I pray but it seems now that I have reviewed
what I do to the text I actually just outline the things that are important to
me and never really take the time to just reflect.
I found the exercise beneficial; I have never really taking
the time to just relax in this way. It left me with a relaxed feeling. I am
saving this on my desktop to repeat often.
I can understand how you feel to a degree about learning how to relax. No, i ma not military personnel but i have been a soldier in my own life by raising kids and being a person that others can rely on for support and reflection. The week three reflection exercise was more intense to me than last week. I'm glad that is the case though because I do need to tune out the environment around me to regroup and readjust at times. as you mentioned in your post, I will also take the time to reflect on the calm music and colors of the rainbow.
